About Oceanside Volleyball Club Parksville
Oceanside Volleyball Club Parksville is a non-profit girls volleyball organization focused on supporting the development of young athletes throughout Parksville, Qualicum Beach, and the greater Oceanside region. Our club provides opportunities for athletes to learn the game, build foundational volleyball skills, and grow within a supportive team environment. When players join Oceanside Volleyball Club Parksville, they become part of a community that values long-term development, teamwork, and personal growth both on and off the court.
What We Stand For
Oceanside Volleyball Club Parksville is built on values that guide every aspect of the club. These include commitment, development, inclusiveness, integrity, passion, respect, and fun. These principles influence how coaches work with athletes, how players interact with one another, and how families experience being part of the club.
As a volunteer-led girls volleyball organization, the club focuses on creating a positive and encouraging environment where athletes can learn, make mistakes, improve, and enjoy the sport. Every player is welcomed, supported, and encouraged to reach their potential at a pace that is right for them.
A Club Rooted in Community
Oceanside Volleyball Club Parksville succeeds because of the strong involvement of volunteers, parents, and community members. From board leadership to event support to team operations, volunteers play an essential role in keeping programs accessible and organized. Parents contribute through roles such as team management, scorekeeping, assisting at tournaments, helping with fundraising, and supporting club initiatives.
Serving the Oceanside Region
Oceanside Volleyball Club Parksville serves families throughout the Oceanside area, including Parksville, Qualicum Beach, and surrounding communities. Practices are held locally to help families manage schedules and reduce travel time. Athletes have opportunities to attend tournaments across British Columbia, and some teams may participate in Nationals depending on the season and team selection. These experiences help players develop on-court skills while also gaining exposure to different levels of competition.
Programs We Offer
OVC stands apart because of our strong community foundation. We are powered by certified coaches, dedicated parent volunteers, and a leadership team that prioritizes athlete growth, teamwork, and inclusiveness. Our club embraces a supportive, encouraging environment where every athlete feels valued, whether they’re new to the sport or competing at a national level.
